The powerful blast, which occurred around 7 pm at the Subhash Marg traffic signal, originated from a car and triggered a blaze that engulfed multiple vehicles, including six cars and three autorickshaws. Firefighters were promptly dispatched and successfully contained the flames.
Initial reports indicate that the blast caused significant damage and resulted in casualties among pedestrians and those in nearby vehicles. Union Home Minister Amit Shah confirmed that emergency services, including the Delhi Crime Branch and Delhi Special Branch, arrived at the scene within 10 minutes of the incident. The investigation into the cause of the explosion is ongoing.
