The Punjabi entertainment industry is in mourning following the tragic passing of actor and singer Rajvir Jawanda. Jawanda succumbed to injuries sustained in a severe road accident that occurred on September 27th. He had been receiving critical care on a ventilator at Fortis Hospital in Mohali for eleven days before his death on Wednesday morning.
International star Diljit Dosanjh, currently on his ‘Aura Tour 2025’ in Australia, took to his Instagram stories to honor the late artist. Rajvir Jawanda’s accident happened near the Pinjore-Nalagarh Road when a bull unexpectedly appeared in his path. While riding his motorcycle from Baddi to Pinjore, the sudden obstruction caused him to lose control and fall, resulting in severe head and spinal injuries. He remained on life support until his passing.
Jawanda began his music career in 2014 with the album ‘Munda Like Me’ and rose to prominence with ‘Kali Jawanda Di’ in 2016. His subsequent hits included ‘Muqabla’ and ‘Kangana’ in 2017, followed by popular tracks like ‘Patiala Shahi Pag’ and ‘Surname.’ He transitioned to acting in 2018 with ‘Subedar Joginder Singh’ and appeared in other films such as ‘Kaka Ji’ and ‘Sikandar 2.’
