Following intense speculation about his involvement in ‘Border 2’ due to the controversy surrounding his collaboration with Pakistani actress Hania Aamir in ‘Sardaar Ji 3,’ Diljit Dosanjh has addressed the rumors. The actor-singer took to Instagram, posting a behind-the-scenes video showcasing army badges bearing his name. The caption simply read ‘Border 2,’ accompanied by the iconic song ‘Sandese Aate Hain’ from the original ‘Border’ film, effectively confirming his continued participation in the project. The rumors arose amid a wave of criticism from netizens and film bodies, including calls for a ban on his upcoming projects in India. The controversy stems from his work with Hania Aamir, and the film ‘Sardaar Ji 3’ faced a limited release overseas due to the resulting tensions. The All India Cine Workers Association (AICWA) even appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for action and urged the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) to deny certification to Diljit’s future projects. ‘Border 2’ also stars Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Ahan Shetty, Suniel Shetty, Rashmika Mandanna, Sonam Bajwa, Vinali Bhatnagar, Paramvir Cheema, Nishan Singh, Guneet Sandhu, Mouni Roy, and Sai Dibyajyoti Behera.
