Eco‑Friendly Ganesh Idol and Family Bonding Highlight Vardhan’s Celebration

Vardhan Puri’s Ganesh Chaturthi celebration this year emphasized both devotion and ecological responsibility. After moving the temple idol into his living room, the actor and his relatives spent two days honoring the deity with traditional music, rangoli, and a feast of Maharashtrian delicacies.

A central feature of the event was the use of a coconut‑based, biodegradable Ganesh idol for the immersion ceremony. Vardhan highlighted that this choice aligns with the family’s desire to protect Mother Earth while maintaining the sanctity of the ritual.

The actor also revisited memories of his grandfather, Amrish Puri, who once guided him in making Modak by hand. The multi‑generational activity, involving grandparents, parents, and cousins, reinforces the festival’s role as a bridge between past and present.
