Film crew swaps marketing budget for emergency assistance after Rajkot floods

The producers of the Gujarati adventure drama "Get Set Go" have taken an unexpected step by converting their promotional budget into disaster relief funds. After the severe flooding in Rajkot and surrounding districts, the team met with district collector Omprakash Singh and agreed that the money reserved for advertising would instead be handed over to NGOs working on the ground.

Deepak Tijori, one of the film’s lead actors, said the decision reflects the crew’s belief that helping flood‑stricken families takes precedence over any publicity campaign.

Bhomik Sampat, a member of the production team, added that the donation has already been made and that the team will continue to contribute as the situation evolves, both before and after the movie’s release on August 7.

Actress‑writer Jeenal Belani highlighted that the film’s narrative revolves around a charitable group called "Chiranjivi". She stressed that the on‑screen message about supporting the needy must translate into tangible action.

"Get Set Go" is a joint venture between Valmiki Pictures and the Jalyan Group, directed by Arnav Kumar. The ensemble cast includes Deepak Tijori, Bhomik Sampat, Jeenal Belani, Rounak Kamdar, Bhavya Gandhi, Om Bhatt, Sharad Sharma, Dharmendra Gohil, Muni Jha, and Asmit Joshi.
