Local Communities Struggle as Ganga Swells; Pawan Singh Highlights Their Plight

With the Ganga river rising dramatically, several blocks of Bhojpur district are experiencing unprecedented flooding. Streets in towns such as Peperpati and Ara are submerged, and many houses have water seepage up to the rooftop level. Residents are unable to reach markets or health centres, and the local economy is grinding to a halt.

Pawan Singh, a leading figure in the Bhojpuri film industry, posted a heartfelt appeal on Instagram after viewing photographs sent by locals. He described the situation as a "moment for action, not just words." Singh appealed directly to Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, asking that the state launch a high‑intensity rescue campaign, provide life‑saving supplies, and arrange adequate boats and other transport resources.

Singh promised to visit the hardest‑hit villages, assess the damage firsthand, and coordinate any possible support from his fan community. He ended his message with a prayer for the safety of every family and urged everyone to stay united during the emergency.
