Gauri Pradhan, born on September 16, 1977, in Jammu, comes from a Marathi family. At 18, she started modeling and participated in a beauty contest, though she didn’t win. However, she began receiving TV advertisements. It was during these advertisements that Gauri met Hiten Tejwani, with whom she entered a relationship and eventually married. Gauri had a serious demeanor, while Hiten was quite playful. Their love story began with a soap advertisement, which caught the attention of Ekta Kapoor. Kapoor was looking for the lead pair for her serial, ‘Kutumb’. After about six months, Ekta Kapoor called Hiten and Gauri to her office, where they met again. Kapoor offered them the serial ‘Kutumb’, which they accepted, and it went on air in 2001. During the shooting, Gauri would read books while Hiten would be jovial, socializing with others. Their on-screen pairing later became a real-life couple.
Gauri and Hiten’s wedding took place in 2004, following Sindhi traditions. In 2009, they became parents to twins, a son and a daughter, named Neevan Tejwani and Katya Tejwani. Even after nearly 20 years of marriage, Hiten and Gauri’s love remains strong. They are now entertaining people once again as Karan and Nandini in ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2’.
