Hardy Sandhu’s Journey: Punjabi Singer, Actor and Former Fast Bowler

Hardy Sandhu, whose full name is Harvinder Singh Sandhu, entered the world on 6 September 1986 in a Sikh family from Patiala, Punjab. Prior to his entertainment career, he was a promising fast bowler, representing Punjab in under‑17, under‑19 and Ranji Trophy cricket. An injury to his hand in 2007 forced him to abandon the sport.

Transitioning to music, Sandhu released his first single “Tequila Shot” in 2012. While the track went largely unnoticed, the subsequent releases “Soch” (2013) and “Joker” (2014) earned him widespread recognition. He later delivered popular songs such as “Backbone,” “Kya Baat Hai,” “Bijli Bijli,” “Horn Blow,” “Naa,” and “Titliyan,” and contributed his voice to Bollywood soundtracks.

His acting debut came with the Punjabi film “Yaaran Da Katchup” (2014). In 2021 he entered Hindi cinema with “83,” portraying former Indian cricketer Madan Lal, followed by roles in “Code Name: Tiranga” and “Mahi NRI.”

Hardy Sandhu is married to Janith Sidu, a model and actress, and the pair have two children.
