Hina Khan has come to the defense of Mrunal Thakur after a past video of Thakur resurfaced, sparking controversy. In the video, Thakur is seen making body-shaming remarks about Bollywood actress Bipasha Basu. Khan took to her Instagram stories to comment on Thakur’s public apology. She wrote, “The fruit of wisdom is knowledge, which comes from experience. Our social skills, communication, and depth of understanding only develop over time. We all make mistakes, especially when we are young.” Khan further elaborated, stating, “I can understand Mrunal’s perspective well; I too have made such foolish mistakes in the past. Some of us go through big risks without the skills to handle them. But with time, we evolve; we become kind, we become compassionate. We learn to uplift each other, to fix each other’s crowns.” Khan acknowledged that both Mrunal and Bipasha Basu have inspiring journeys in Bollywood, and both are wonderful women. She added, “Like all of you, I have also seen the inspiring journeys of both Bipasha and Mrunal in the industry… Both are great and Bipasha is an inspiration to the entire community. I am very happy and proud that Mrunal was able to accept the mistake she made in her past.”
