‘Hoonkar: The Roar’ courtroom sequences required little preparation, says lead

Mohammad Jishan Ayub, the main cast member of “Hoonkar: The Roar”, affirmed that the legal scenes were straightforward to perform.

According to Ayub, courtroom actors depend heavily on spoken word, pacing and gestures to keep viewers engaged. He was asked whether any monologue forced him to take extra takes or work on timing; his answer was a simple “It was all smooth and fun.”

"I didn’t encounter any trouble. Karan, who was there during filming, could better explain if any issue arose," he said, adding that the set was filled with laughter and camaraderie.

The series, directed by Karan D. Kapadia and Nitya Mehra, dramatizes the case of 17‑year‑old Meenu Rawat (Anit Padda) accusing a spiritual guru of misconduct. Alongside Fatima Sana Sheikh, Raghuvir Yadav, Ram Kapoor and Arjun Mathur, the ensemble delves into the complex ties between power, faith and the legal system. The show is scheduled to stream on JioCinema from 25 September 2026.
