Shortly after completing his mandatory military service, BTS member Jeon Jungkook was the target of a break-in attempt at his Seoul residence on June 12. A 30-something Chinese woman was apprehended after attempting to enter the singer’s home using the door code. Law enforcement officials reported that the woman had traveled to South Korea with the specific intention of meeting Jungkook. The alarm system alerted the authorities. Upon questioning, the woman stated she came to see Jungkook, coinciding with his military discharge. This incident occurred on the same day Jungkook and fellow BTS member Jimin concluded their military service, an event celebrated by fans and media at Yeoncheon Public Stadium. The reunion was marked by an emotional moment as Jungkook and Jimin, in uniform, saluted the crowd. This follows the releases of RM and V on June 10, and earlier releases of Jin and J-Hope in 2024. Suga is scheduled to complete his service on June 21. With the members nearing the end of their enlistments, BTS is preparing for a full-fledged comeback. Anticipation is high among fans worldwide, with expectations of new music, concerts, and appearances. HYBE, the group’s agency, displayed a message reading “WE ARE BACK” at its Seoul headquarters, signaling the beginning of BTS’s second chapter. While the day brought concern for Jungkook’s safety, it also brought hope and joy to fans worldwide, as the seven-member group moves closer to their highly-anticipated reunion.
