Kangana accuses media of targeting her for standing up to indecency

Mumbai, July 29 — Kangana Ranawat, noted actress and Lok Sabha member, posted a new video to rebut claims that she was dismissing the entire student movement. She clarified that her objection was directed at a handful of protesters who displayed vulgar behaviour in the presence of children, seniors and women on the streets. Ranawat said such acts are not "acceptable" and should never be presented as normal.

The MP asserted that the media is deliberately focusing on a short clip of her speech that appears to be critical, while ignoring her commendations for India's aerospace sector and the promise shown by the nation's Generation‑Z scholars. She accused journalists of using TRP-driven motives to paint her in a negative light.

She also called out alleged feminists and news anchors who, in her view, are attempting to impose discipline on her. Ranawat emphasised that personal liberty ceases when it infringes upon another's privacy and respect. She reminded the audience that no one, irrespective of status, should be publicly insulted.

Ranawat warned that a society that tolerates boundless misbehaviour will inevitably push such individuals out of workplaces and public life, potentially leading them towards legal trouble. She cited scientific and philosophical teachings that stress human evolution rather than regression.

Concluding the clip, Ranawat sent her wishes for Guru Purnima and appealed to citizens to walk the right path as guided by their teachers, continually striving for personal betterment.
