Although there has been no official announcement, Kantara Chapter 1 has already set a significant record in Kannada cinema by selling its OTT rights for approximately 125 crore rupees. This is a record-breaking amount, possibly the highest for any Kannada film’s OTT rights. The film is slated to release in theaters on October 2, 2025.
Rishab Shetty is the lead actor and director of the film. He received a National Award for his work on the first part. Rukmini Vasant will star opposite Rishab Shetty in this film, and the music is composed by Ajaneesh Loknath. According to reports, the film’s budget is estimated at 125 crore rupees.
