The action-adventure film ‘Mirai,’ starring Teja Sajja, has been well-received by audiences. Following the success of ‘HanuMan,’ Sajja returns to the big screen. Despite facing competition from other releases, ‘Mirai’ has secured a notable position at the box office. The film’s strong performance is evident in its Day 2 collections.
On its first day, ‘Mirai’ earned Rs 13 crore, primarily from its Telugu version (Rs 11.15 crore), with the Hindi version contributing Rs 1.65 crore. Smaller amounts came from Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam versions. Day 2 saw collections rise to Rs 14.5 crore, including Rs 11.5 crore from Telugu and Rs 2.8 crore from Hindi. The film’s two-day total is now Rs 27.5 crore, with Telugu leading at Rs 22.65 crore, followed by Hindi at Rs 4.45 crore, and the remainder from other languages.
The movie’s storyline revolves around a warrior tasked with protecting nine sacred scriptures capable of transforming mortals into deities.
Teja Sajja revealed that he was cast in ‘Mirai’ after ‘Hanuman.’ Director Karthik Ghattamaneni approached him and described the challenges of the film, seemingly testing Sajja’s commitment. Sajja affirmed his dedication to the project. ‘Mirai’ also stars Manchu Manoj, Ritika Nayak, and Shriya Saran, with Manchu Manoj playing the main antagonist.
