Mysterious Attack Claims Life of Haryanvi Artist Ankit Balian in Uttar Pradesh

In a baffling crime that has rattled the cultural community, Haryanvi vocalist Ankit Balian was killed in a targeted shooting on the outskirts of Shamli town, Uttar Pradesh. The attack took place at approximately 7 pm on a Wednesday when the artist exited a gym where he regularly worked out.

According to statements from the Shamli Kotwali police, four unknown individuals on two motorcycles approached the singer and opened fire, discharging an estimated 20 rounds. The victims’ injuries were severe, and despite rapid transport to a medical facility, he could not be saved.

Investigators have recovered several shallow pits near the shooting zone, suggesting the assailants may have used them as cover. The police are combing through surveillance footage from nearby establishments and have reached out to the Haryana police for any leads tied to the singer’s former hometown of Sonipat, where he reportedly had a feud before moving to Uttar Pradesh.

Gym operator Ravi Sharma recounted that the artist had been a consistent patron for eight months and that the shootout happened within a few meters of the gym entrance. The local populace is on high alert, fearing further violence, while authorities promise a thorough inquiry to bring the perpetrators to justice.
