Bollywood actress Nafisa Ali is currently facing a stage 4 diagnosis of peritoneal and ovarian cancer. She is openly sharing her journey on social media, inspiring many with her bravery. Ali recently posted a photo showcasing her new bald look, a result of chemotherapy.
Born in Kolkata, Nafisa Ali’s early life included achievements as a national swimming champion from 1972 to 1974. She later transitioned to beauty pageants, winning the Eve’s Weekly Miss India title in 1976 and representing India in the Miss International contest. In 1979, she was a jockey at the Calcutta Gymkhana. Her acting career began in 1979 with the film ‘Junoon.’ She has since appeared in popular movies such as ‘Kshatriya,’ ‘Aatank,’ ‘Major Saab,’ ‘Bewafaa,’ ‘Big B,’ ‘Life in a Metro,’ and ‘Yamla Pagla Deewana.’ Her most recent film appearance was in ‘Uunchai’ in 2022.
Beyond acting, Ali has also been involved in politics, contesting Lok Sabha elections in 2004 and 2009. She has been affiliated with various political parties throughout her career. In a recent Instagram post, Ali shared her new look alongside a message of positivity and friendship.
