Nupur Sanon, sister of actress Kriti Sanon, has faced a barrage of criticism for her newly launched fashion line, Label Nobo. Social media users are expressing disapproval, labeling the brand as one that sells basic clothing at highly inflated prices. Many users feel the pricing strategy borders on deceptive practices.
Label Nobo, launched in 2024 with the tagline ‘No boundaries,’ promises ‘high-quality premium fabrics.’ The brand has garnered endorsements from Kriti Sanon, Nupur Sanon, Uorfi Javed, Sanjana Sanghi, and Rida Tharana, among other celebrities.
However, online reactions indicate significant dissatisfaction with the price points. Dresses start at approximately Rs 7,000, while kurta sets are priced up to Rs 26,500. A Banarasi lehenga is offered at Rs 21,000. Additionally, a skirt and crop top set is priced at Rs 20,000, and shorts are available for Rs 2,400.
Reddit users have been particularly vocal in their criticism. One user wrote, “I think her brand name is incomplete cause she clearly forgot to write Label NoboDY IS BUYING THIS OVERPRICED FAST FASHION SHIT FROM ME.” Another questioned, “Who is going to buy at these prices even for her sister’s name?” Several users accused the brand of scamming.
Other comments included remarks like “Ridiculous,” and the sardonic, “Rs 750 last price.” One user shared, “I have been to Jaipur and Jodhpur the past year and honestly, have found better patchwork jackets from local markets for less than Rs 1500.” Another stated, “Bhai yeh sab kapre Rajouri or Chandni Chowk mein dhakke khaa rhe hai. What even???” One particularly harsh comment declared, “These are the ugliest clothes I’ve ever seen, good lord.”
