Speculation surrounding the wedding of Indian cricketer Smriti Mandhana and singer Palash Muchhal has intensified following a family health emergency. The celebrations were reportedly put on hold after Smriti Mandhana’s father fell seriously ill. This sudden development led to widespread online rumors and accusations directed at Palash Muchhal, who has been accused of infidelity. However, these claims remain unproven.
Following his return from the wedding venue in Sangli, the singer was admitted to a Mumbai hospital reportedly due to severe exhaustion. The situation appeared particularly sensitive when Smriti and family members removed wedding-related content from their social media. In response to the growing backlash, Palash’s cousin, Neeti Tak, publicly defended him. She urged the public not to judge based on unverified rumors, stating, “Palash is going through a critical condition today. You all should not judge him without knowing the truth… Pray for him.”
Earlier, on November 25th, Palash’s sister and renowned singer Palak Muchhal had requested privacy for both families, citing Smriti’s father’s health as the reason for postponing the wedding. The couple was initially slated to marry on November 23rd. Their pre-wedding events, including haldi and sangeet ceremonies, had previously garnered significant attention on social media. Notably, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had also sent a congratulatory letter to the couple in anticipation of their union.
