Preity Zinta Observes Karwa Chauth in US, Moon Hidden by Clouds

Actress Preity Zinta is keeping her Karwa Chauth fast for husband Gene Goodenough while staying in America. Heavy clouds have made it difficult for her to see the moon, and she has been waiting for it to appear on the East Coast.

Preity voiced her concern on X, saying the moon was not visible on the East Coast even as her fast was going on. She asked whether others felt the same way and whether anyone had seen the moon there.

She wrote, "Is it only me, or has the moon disappeared? Has anyone seen it on the East Coast? My Karwa Chauth fast is on and the moon is playing hide and seek between the clouds."

The actress is based in Los Angeles with her husband and children. She regularly shares snapshots of her personal life on social media.

Preity wed financial analyst Gene Goodenough at a private ceremony in Los Angeles in February 2016. The couple welcomed twins, Jai and Gia, through surrogacy in November 2021.

Since becoming a mother, she has often spoken about how her life has changed and how she tries to juggle work and parenting.

In September, Preity shared a peek at how she manages her professional and personal responsibilities. She posted images from her long trip home to be with Jai and Gia on their first day at school.

She said on social media, "I rushed in from the other corner of the world to attend the first day of school. I could not miss it for anything."

She also shared travel moments, including a selfie from the flight and the view from the plane window. After a long break, she is now balancing her personal and work commitments between America and India.

Preity made her acting comeback with Bantwara 1947, a period drama directed by Rajkumar Santoshi and produced by Aamir Khan.

She was also seen in Vibe, directed by Kunal Kemmu, in which she essays the role of Madam H. The spy comedy also features Kunal Kemmu and Sparsh Shrivastava.
