Producers Debunk Hindi Release Speculation for Rajinikanth’s ‘Jailer 2’

Mumbai – In response to recent media chatter claiming that "Jailer 2" would not see a Hindi release, the film’s producers have set the record straight. A formal note issued on Monday confirms that the Hindi version will roll out on 15 October, adhering to the original multi‑language launch plan.

The distribution for the Hindi territory will be handled by Pen Marudhar Entertainment, which will oversee the film’s rollout across North Indian theatres. The producers highlighted that there has been no alteration to the Hindi release timetable and asked all news agencies to respect the official clarification.

The sequel picks up with Rajinikanth’s character, retired jailer Tiger Muthuvel Pandian, confronting a fresh menace involving a powerful criminal network and intimidation directed at his family. The storyline expands the universe established by the 2023 hit "Jailer," promising new layers of drama and action.

Alongside Rajinikanth, the cast includes stalwarts such as Mohanlal, Shiv Rajkumar, Jackie Shroff, Mithun Chakraborty, Vidya Balan, S. J. Surya and Suraj Venjaramoodu. Music composer Anirudh Ravichander returns to score the film, while director Nelson Dilipkumar steers the project under the Sun Pictures banner. Fans can expect a theatrical release across India on 15 October.
