Actor Rajat Bedi has weighed in on the defamation case filed by former NCB official Sameer Wankhede against Netflix and Red Chillies Entertainment concerning the series ‘The Ba***ds of Bollywood.’ The show, which features Bedi, is reportedly based on Aryan Khan’s directorial debut. Bedi expressed empathy for Aryan Khan, referring to him as ‘our kid’ and acknowledging the difficult period he has endured. While respecting Wankhede’s role as a government representative, Bedi stated that the government is performing its duties. He suggested that Aryan Khan’s experiences were challenging and perhaps not handled ideally, but refrained from further comment due to the ongoing legal proceedings. The case stems from Wankhede’s assertion that the series falsely and maliciously portrays anti-drug enforcement agencies, potentially undermining public trust. Wankhede claims the show was designed to tarnish his reputation during ongoing legal matters involving him and Aryan Khan.
