In the heart of a treacherous jungle, an unseen monster lurks, creating a sense of dread. Ram Gopal Varma, known for his mastery of suspense, uses his camera to instill a constant sense of unease. The sequences in ‘Agyaat’ are filmed to suggest the presence of lethal characters that viewers and the characters on screen can only feel, not see. The sound design, crafted by Dwarak Warrier and Leslie Fernandes, plays a crucial role in heightening the terror. Instead of relying on typical eerie sounds, the film features chilling noises, like those you might hear in the wilderness, which unexpectedly amplify the sense of danger. The film also incorporates a snippet from Hemant Kumar Mukherjee’s classic song ‘Kahin Deep Jale Kahin Dil’ from the old thriller ‘Bees Saal Baad’.
