Health Struggles and Later Years of the ‘Mystery Girl’

By the late 1960s Sadhana’s health began to decline due to hyperthyroidism, forcing her to seek treatment in Boston. The illness stalled her career, but she returned with "Ek Phool Do Maali" and "Inteqam" in 1969, both well received. She later tried her hand at direction, helming "Geeta Mera Naam" in 1974. After a gradual retreat from the screen, her final release was "Ulfat Ki Nai Manzilen" in 1994. In 2002 she was honored with the IIFA Lifetime Achievement Award. Sadhana passed away on December 25, 2015 at the age of 74.
