Mohit Suri’s directorial venture, ‘Saiyaara’, continues its remarkable run at the box office, emerging as one of the year’s most significant success stories. Featuring debutants Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, this romantic drama has impressively surpassed the Rs 200 crore mark within a mere nine days of its theatrical release.
The film commenced with a robust opening, earning Rs 21.5 crore on its first day. It demonstrated substantial growth throughout the weekend, accumulating Rs 26 crore on day two and Rs 35.75 crore on day three. After a slight dip on day four, with collections of Rs 24 crore, the film maintained steady momentum during the weekdays, adding Rs 25 crore on day five, Rs 21.5 crore on day six, and Rs 19 crore on day seven. By the end of its inaugural week, ‘Saiyaara’ had amassed an impressive Rs 172.75 crore. Entering its second weekend, the Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda starrer contributed Rs 18 crore on day eight.
Estimates suggest that the romantic drama experienced a significant surge on its second Saturday, with approximately Rs 26.5 crore. Consequently, the film’s total box office earnings over nine days have reached a substantial Rs 217.25 crore.
This achievement firmly establishes ‘Saiyaara’ as the second Hindi film of 2025 to surpass Rs 200 crore, joining the ranks of the February blockbuster ‘Chhaava’. The Vicky Kaushal-Rashmika Mandanna starrer achieved the 200 crore milestone in a comparable timeframe and currently holds the position of the highest-grossing Hindi film of the year, with a net collection of Rs 270 crore.
