Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan, two of Hindi cinema’s biggest superstars, were once offered the chance to play a CM for a day. The offer came 24 years ago, but both actors declined. This opportunity was for the film ‘Nayak: The Real Hero,’ in which Anil Kapoor ultimately starred alongside Rani Mukerji. Anil Kapoor himself revealed this information through a social media post. The film, released in 2001, was a political drama directed by S. Shankar, a remake of the 1999 Tamil film ‘Mudhalvan’. Anil Kapoor, in his post commemorating 24 years of ‘Nayak,’ shared that the roles were initially offered to Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan. Despite not taking the roles, Shah Rukh Khan attended the audio launch of ‘Nayak’ to support Anil Kapoor and Rani Mukerji. Director S. Shankar revealed that discussions with Aamir Khan did not materialize, and Shah Rukh Khan was busy shooting his film ‘Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani’ at the time.
