Aamir Khan’s highly anticipated return to the silver screen with ‘Sitaare Zameen Par,’ a spiritual successor to the iconic ‘Taare Zameen Par,’ is generating considerable buzz. The film, which centers on specially-abled children, features Aamir Khan in the role of a basketball coach. Adding to the excitement, a behind-the-scenes video has been released, showcasing a surprise visit from Shah Rukh Khan to the film’s set.
In the video, Shah Rukh Khan is seen interacting with the cast, who are visibly delighted by his presence. Shah Rukh revealed that Aamir had been persistently requesting his visit. He shared, “Aamir has told me at least 10 times. He said, ‘Come and meet the actors. They are doing so well. I didn’t get time earlier but every day I meet him, whenever I am meeting him, he is calling me also, saying, ‘Please come. Please come.’ Even 3 days ago, he told me, ‘Shah, tu ana yaar (Come no, please)!’”
Shah Rukh is seen engaging with each cast member, inquiring about their experiences, and happily posing for photographs. Young actors expressed their admiration for his films, mentioning ‘Chak De! India’ and ‘Don,’ with the atmosphere reaching a crescendo when Shah Rukh recreated his iconic arms-wide-open pose, drawing cheers from everyone.
Directed by RS Prasanna, ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ is slated for a June 20 theatrical release. The film also stars Genelia D’Souza and is a remake of the Spanish film ‘Campeones’. The film recently faced a challenge when the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) requested two cuts, which Aamir initially resisted to protect the film’s creative integrity. However, the film has now been officially cleared by the CBFC.
