Bollywood star Shraddha Kapoor is stepping into the shoes of a beloved animated character, lending her voice to Judy Hopps in the Hindi version of Disney’s highly anticipated film, Zootopia 2. The exciting news was shared by Disney India on social media, revealing a charming poster featuring Kapoor alongside the tenacious bunny cop.
Kapoor expressed her immense enthusiasm for joining the Zootopia family, describing Judy Hopps as “feisty, courageous, enthu cutlet aur cute.” The sequel is set to arrive in Indian cinemas on November 28th, promising an “anokha surprise” for audiences.
The original Zootopia, a critical and commercial success that won an Academy Award, is beloved for its engaging characters and witty social commentary. Zootopia 2 picks up with Judy Hopps and her partner Nick Wilde, voiced by Ginnifer Goodwin and Jason Bateman in the original English version, on a new thrilling adventure. The teaser trailer also introduced a new character, Gary De’Snake, a pit viper voiced by Ke Huy Quan, who appears poised to shake up the animal metropolis. The film promises to expand the vibrant world of Zootopia, blending humor, heart, and insightful observations.
Directed by Byron Howard and produced by Yvett Merino, both from the original Oscar-winning team, the movie also features Shakira reprising her role as Gazelle. New additions to the voice cast include Fortune Feimster and Quinta Brunson. Zootopia 2 is poised to be one of the year’s most eagerly awaited animated releases.
