Siddharth Shares Insights on Fighter Pilot Prep for Netflix War Drama

Siddharth, starring in the Netflix series "Operation White Sea," recounted the demanding training he received to embody an Indian Air Force fighter pilot.

The narrative draws from the 1999 Kargil operations, where the IAF launched air strikes in coordination with ground forces to repel Pakistani incursions along the Line of Control.

According to Siddharth, the Mig’s cockpit is exceptionally compact—so small that it is narrower than a regular seat. This confinement limits the pilot’s visual angle, requiring precise head and eye positioning during flight.

He was instructed on exact eye‑movement patterns, the appropriate jargon for aerial communication, and the necessity of rapid, clear English speech. Mistakes were corrected on the spot, and the regimen also covered posture, uniform etiquette, and overall cockpit conduct.

Siddharth clarified that while he never experienced actual flight, the training gave him a solid theoretical foundation of a fighter pilot’s duties. The series premieres on Netflix on August 7.
