Soha Ali Khan’s Touching Post Remembers Father’s Legacy After 15 Years

Mumbai – September 22 – Actress Soha Ali Khan commemorated the 15th death anniversary of her father, former Indian skipper Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi, with a moving social‑media tribute. The first photograph displayed Soha seated beside a portrait of the late cricketer, while the second showed her daughter Inaya positioned before the same image, hands folded in devotion.

Inaya penned a heartfelt letter addressed to her grandfather: “Dear Abba, I pray your death anniversary in heaven is beautiful. I hope I will meet you again in this world. I thank you for letting me be part of your family and I also admire your cricket skills.”

Soha’s caption expressed the depth of her longing: “Abba, fifteen years have passed without you. Sometimes I feel I am just imagining your presence, but perhaps memories are exactly that—love that cannot be endured when lost, yet lives on when we remember.”

The actress frequently honors her father online. Earlier this January, on his birthday, she travelled to Eden Gardens in Kolkata, the venue of one of his most celebrated innings. She shared glimpses of the visit and added, “On your birthday, Abba, I wanted to stand where the sport still recalls you. Eden Gardens may seem empty now, but it never falls silent for you.”

She also recalled the iconic December 1974 Test against the West Indies, where Pataudi’s cheekbone was broken by a delivery from Andy Roberts. Despite severe bleeding, he fought back onto the field and guided India to a historic 85‑run victory, an episode hailed as a shining example of his indomitable spirit and leadership.
