Sonali Bendre Discusses ‘Sohla’ Story’s Impact and Her Presenting Role

Actress Sonali Bendre opened up about her involvement with the upcoming film “Sohla”, directed by Saikat Bagban and set to release on 16 October. She described the story as a powerful portrait of childhood, friendship and family that resonated with her on a personal level.

“After watching the film, the narrative stayed with me for weeks. It is rare for a script to affect me so deeply, which is why I agreed to become its presenter,” Bendre explained.

She likened the film to a book that gradually reshapes one’s thoughts, and she feels a duty to ensure the film’s message reaches as many viewers as possible. “My role as presenter is not just a title; it is an endorsement of the director’s vision and the film’s heart,” she said.

Bagban praised the collaboration, noting that ‘Sohla’ celebrates the tiny moments that define who we are. The film’s first poster introduces Pashya, a 13‑year‑old boy whose decisions shape the narrative. Production is handled by Rosa Audio Visuals, with Goldie Bahl and Caryon Films supporting the venture.
