The Deol brothers have been making waves recently. Sunny Deol has already made an impact with ‘Gadar 2’, and Bobby Deol is exploring different roles. However, there was a year when both brothers were overshadowed by their half-sister. Twenty years ago, several films of Sunny and Bobby Deol were released. However, they lost the box office battle to Esha Deol, whose film was a blockbuster. Esha’s film earned ₹74.13 crore worldwide. Let’s take a look at how she outshone her brothers. In 2005, Sunny Deol appeared on the big screen as a Punjab police officer. His film that year was titled ‘Jo Bole So Nihal’. Made on a budget of ₹15 crore, the film only earned ₹14 crore and was a flop. On the other hand, Bobby Deol had four films released in 2005, including ‘Dosti: Friends Forever’, ‘Barsaat’, ‘Tango Charlie’, and ‘Jurm’. One film performed below average, and the other three flopped. Neither Sunny nor Bobby Deol tasted success that year. Meanwhile, Esha Deol had six films released in 2005. Except for one, her other films also flopped. This included ‘Shaadi No. 1’, ‘No Entry’, ‘Dus’, ‘Main Aisa Hi Hoon’, ‘Kaal’, and ‘Insan’. Esha did the most films from the Deol family that year. However, the highest-grossing film of 2005 was ‘No Entry’. Directed by Anees Bazmee and produced by Boney Kapoor, the film was made on a budget of ₹20 crore and earned over ₹70 crore worldwide. Esha Deol played the role of Pooja Khanna in this film.
