The Supreme Court has overturned the bail granted by the Karnataka High Court to Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa, his girlfriend Pavithra Gowda, and five other individuals implicated in the Renukaswamy murder case. Justices J B Pardiwala and R Mahadevan, presiding over the bench, determined that the High Court’s order was flawed and contained significant errors. The apex court asserted that granting bail could potentially influence the trial and sway witnesses.
