Chhattisgarh’s cultural icon Teejan Bai was rushed to AIIMS Raipur late Wednesday following a sudden decline in her health. The Padma Vibhushan recipient, known worldwide for her soul-stirring Pandwani performances, was immediately placed in the medical intensive care unit. Doctors diagnosed water in the lungs, pneumonia and critically low blood pressure. Her family reported that the timely arrival at the hospital and prompt treatment have stabilized her condition.
