Kamal Haasan’s much-anticipated film, ‘Thug Life,’ directed by Mani Ratnam, has faced a challenging start at the box office. Despite the hype surrounding the reunion of the iconic actor-director duo after 38 years, the film has garnered mixed reviews. Early estimates suggest the film has struggled to reach the Rs 50 crore mark. On its fifth day, the film collected approximately Rs 3.25 crore, bringing the total collection to Rs 40.15 crore. In a recent media interaction, Kamal Haasan discussed the importance of an eight-week window before the film’s OTT release, emphasizing the need to support theatrical releases.
