Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam’s much-anticipated Tamil film, ‘Thug Life,’ has failed to meet expectations at the box office, despite the initial buzz surrounding its release. After a collaboration 38 years in the making, the movie has garnered mixed reviews, resulting in an underwhelming performance. The film’s box office collection on day 4 reached Rs 6.50 crore, bringing the total to Rs 36.90 crore within four days. During a promotional event, Kamal Haasan also discussed the film’s OTT release strategy, advocating for an eight-week window to support theatrical releases. The film features a star-studded cast including Trisha, Silambarasan, Abhirami, Sanya Malhotra, and others.
