Eva Longoria has opened up about a surprising personal choice: she has never watched Desperate Housewives, the landmark series in which she starred as Gabrielle Solis. During a recent interview on the Dinner on Me podcast, the actress revealed she made the same decision while the show originally aired and still refuses to tune in today. The ABC drama ran for 180 episodes between 2004 and 2012, featuring an ensemble cast that included Teri Hatcher, Felicity Huffman, Marcia Cross, and Nicolette Sheridan. Longoria’s portrayal earned critical acclaim and two SAG Awards, yet she insists she never needs to revisit the work. “I don’t watch my own projects,” she stated simply. Longoria also addressed speculation about a reboot. According to her, creator Marc Cherry sees no reason to bring the show back because the characters’ stories were already wrapped up completely.
