Ahmedabad Police Destroy 1,140 Units of Substandard Plasma

Following the forensic analysis that labeled the seized plasma as hazardous, Ahmedabad Rural Police have started destroying the 1,140 units in a controlled environment. The plasma was described as “very poor quality, posing a risk to human life and unsuitable for transfusion.”

Four suspects have been arrested, including the primary accused and two transport workers who allegedly swapped genuine plasma with the adulterated mix before delivery. Police spokesperson Om Prakash Jat warned that if any of the contaminated plasma is found to have been administered to patients, additional charges will be filed and more individuals may be implicated.
