Alkem Laboratories Posts Lower Q4 Earnings Amid One-Time Charge

Alkem Laboratories Limited on Thursday unveiled its fourth-quarter results for FY26, revealing a 27.7 percent drop in net profit to ₹236 crore compared to ₹306 crore a year earlier. The decline was driven by a significant one-time expense of ₹135 crore. On a positive note, the company posted robust top-line growth as consolidated revenue from operations surged 14.6 percent to ₹3,603 crore. EBITDA expanded 32.2 percent to ₹517 crore, improving margins to 14.4 percent from 12.4 percent previously. Shareholders will receive a final dividend of ₹10 per share, bringing the total payout to approximately ₹119.57 crore. The record date is set for August 7, and the dividend is payable from September 1 pending AGM approval. In a separate development, Madhurima Singh has been named Executive Director for five years starting December 20. The results highlight Alkem's continued revenue strength despite exceptional items weighing on the bottom line.
