India aims for universal health coverage through interoperable digital platforms

Minister Nadda highlighted that digital public infrastructure is now a proven catalyst for improving the quality, availability and transparency of health services. By providing every citizen with secure, consent‑driven access to personal health records, ABDM aims to bridge gaps in equity and reach.

The meeting also explored future strategies, focusing on artificial intelligence, the promotion of digital health standards, and stronger interoperability across state systems. Participants agreed on the necessity of coordinated action between the Centre and states to expand the digital health framework, ensuring it remains inclusive, affordable and user‑friendly.

Nadda concluded by calling on all stakeholders to work collectively toward delivering simple, safe and digital health services for every Indian, positioning ABDM as a cornerstone of the "Developed India 2047" vision.
