Consumers urged to stop using Gori Beauty Cream and others

The Maharashtra FDA has issued a public advisory warning that Gori Beauty Cream, Face Fresh Gold, and Golden Star Beauty Cream are unsafe for everyday use. Laboratory analysis detected mercury and lead concentrations above the safe threshold, posing serious risks to skin and overall health.

The agency also highlighted that the products failed to display required information such as the manufacturer's name and address, batch number, manufacturing date and expiry date, a clear breach of consumer‑safety regulations.

Immediate cessation of purchase, application, and distribution of the listed creams has been recommended. Retail outlets, wholesale dealers, and e‑commerce platforms must remove the items from their inventory and stop any further sales.

Anyone who comes across these products in the market is asked to inform the FDA through the toll‑free number 1800‑222‑365 or the designated email channel. The department stresses that buying cosmetics only from authorized and transparent sources is the best defense against such health hazards.
