A 4.4 magnitude earthquake struck the Jhajjar district of Haryana early Thursday morning. The National Centre for Seismology (NCS) confirmed the event. Strong tremors were widely felt throughout Delhi, Noida, Gurugram, and Faridabad, along with neighboring regions. The earthquake occurred at 9:04 am at a depth of 10 kilometers, according to the NCS. The NCS reported the details on X. Earlier, on February 17, a 4.0 magnitude earthquake hit Delhi-NCR at a depth of 5 km, causing residents to evacuate their homes. Delhi is designated as Seismic Zone IV by the Delhi Disaster Management Authority, indicating a high risk of moderate to high-intensity earthquakes.
