Advocates demand transparency in Jharkhand employee selection process

Legal representatives of the petitioners, including Amritansh Vats, Shubham Mishra and Prem Pujari Rai, pressed the court for a clearer breakdown of the JSSC’s calculation method. They argued that without an openly disclosed formula, candidates cannot verify the legitimacy of their scores.

The JSSC, through counsel Sanjay Pipperwal, defended the existing process, claiming it conforms to established statistical practices. Nevertheless, the court remained unconvinced and ordered the commission to submit a comprehensive affidavit detailing every step of the normalisation procedure.

The request aims to ensure that future recruitments for the Assistant Archary post adhere to principles of equity and statistical soundness.
