Air India, the private aviation company under the Tata Group, announced the cancellation of its flight from Milan to Delhi on August 16th. The cancellation occurred due to a last-minute maintenance issue. The airline stated that alternative arrangements are being made to transport passengers to their destinations as soon as possible. The scheduled flight AI138 from Milan to Delhi was canceled because of a maintenance-related issue that arose during pushback. Pushback refers to the process of moving an aircraft backward from its parking spot at the airport. This procedure allows ground staff to safely and efficiently move the aircraft away from the gate. The ground team in Milan provided immediate assistance to all affected passengers, including hotel accommodations and options for a full refund or rebooking based on their chosen preferences. Air India expressed regret for the inconvenience caused by the unexpected cancellation, emphasizing the safety of passengers and crew as its top priority.
