Air India Express has introduced direct flights to Bengaluru from Ahmedabad and Chandigarh, significantly improving connectivity and travel convenience. These new routes provide convenient travel options for both business and leisure travelers heading to India’s Silicon Valley from these locations. The airline’s expansion includes daily flights from Ahmedabad, increasing to twice-daily from September 16, and two daily non-stop flights from Chandigarh. Air India Express highlighted these developments, noting that Bengaluru is their largest domestic hub, offering over 400 weekly flights to 34 cities. Passengers from Ahmedabad can connect seamlessly via Bengaluru to 26 domestic destinations and 3 international locations. Those departing from Chandigarh can connect through Bengaluru to 23 destinations across South Asia. The inaugural direct flights on the Ahmedabad–Bengaluru and Chandigarh–Bengaluru routes commenced on Monday, September 1. Furthermore, a Bengaluru-Dehradun service is scheduled to launch on September 15, further enhancing the airline’s network. Air India Express operates over 405 weekly flights from Bengaluru, offering direct connectivity to 34 domestic and 3 international destinations.
