An Air India flight, originating from Hong Kong and destined for Delhi, experienced a fire incident shortly after landing at Delhi Airport on Tuesday. The airline confirmed that all passengers and crew members safely disembarked the aircraft. According to an Air India spokesperson, Flight AI 315, which operated on July 22, 2025, had an auxiliary power unit (APU) fire after it landed and was stationary at the gate. The incident occurred as passengers were in the process of disembarking, and the APU automatically shut down as per its design. While there was some damage to the aircraft, all passengers and crew were unharmed. The aircraft has been taken out of service for investigation, and the regulatory authorities have been informed.
