Allegations of vote manipulation continue to surface, with Congress leaders presenting evidence of irregularities across various states and constituencies. Alka Lamba, the President of the Mahila Congress, has accused the BJP of vote fraud in the Bihar elections. She stated that Narendra Modi and the Election Commission engaged in extensive ‘vote theft’ in Bihar. Lamba cited examples from the Election Commission’s final voter list, including 247 voters registered at the same address in Jamui, three instances of the same person’s name appearing in the Muzaffarpur voter list, and the inclusion of deceased individuals’ names. Lamba emphasized that these were only a few of the many cases of fraud, accusing Modi and the Election Commission of stealing people’s rights, employment, and future through ‘vote theft’. She warned that the people of Bihar would not tolerate this and would deliver a strong message in the elections. Furthermore, Lamba alleged that the Election Commission, acting on the instructions of Narendra Modi and Amit Shah, is carrying out a massive fraud in Bihar under the guise of SIR (likely referring to a specific electoral process). She claimed that approximately 23 lakh women’s names have been removed from the voter list in Bihar, preventing them from voting in the upcoming assembly elections, a move she deems unconstitutional.
