Central Minister Amit Shah will spend the weekend in Gujarat, combining administrative reviews with the launch of a new dairy processing unit. The itinerary reflects the government’s dual emphasis on urban development and rural prosperity through strengthened cooperatives. In Ahmedabad, Shah will chair a high-level meeting at the Southwest Zone office of the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation. Discussions will centre on Gandhinagar Lok Sabha constituency projects, covering urban infrastructure, pond interlinking schemes, and preparations for the ‘Mission 5 Million Trees’ plantation drive. Senior civic officers are expected to brief the minister on monsoon readiness and project timelines. The following day in Gandhinagar, Shah will formally open the newly constructed ‘Madhur Dairy’ plant near Dashela village. The facility will enhance milk processing capabilities for local producers and support the cooperative movement. After the inauguration, the minister will interact with beneficiaries and address a public meeting. Officials say the tour will help fast-track pending civic works and improve coordination between central and local agencies for better delivery of public services.
