Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh – The Andhra Pradesh government convened a high-level review meeting at the VMRDA office in Visakhapatnam on Tuesday to finalize preparations for the 11th International Yoga Day celebrations, scheduled for June 21. The event is anticipated to draw a record crowd of five lakh participants, necessitating extensive arrangements to ensure a smooth and successful execution. The meeting was attended by key ministers and public representatives who discussed various aspects of the event. Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha addressed the media, highlighting the significance of Yoga and the government’s commitment to promoting a healthy lifestyle. Preparations include 326 compartments for participants, over 2,000 CCTV cameras for security, and provisions for an alternate venue in case of rain. Participants will receive essential items like yoga mats, T-shirts, and ORS bottles. The government aims to make the event a grand success, emphasizing Yoga’s global significance and its role in fostering community well-being.
