Young aspirants looking for a prestigious career in the armed forces now have a fresh opportunity with the Indian Navy’s latest notification. Sixty positions for Permanent Commissioned Officers are on offer through the 10+2 BTech Cadet Entry Scheme. The technical vacancies are divided equally between Mechanical Engineering and Electronics & Communication Engineering. The application window opens on 29 May and remains active until 18 June. To be eligible, candidates need a minimum 70 percent in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics at the 10+2 level and 50 percent in English. Those who sat for JEE Main 2026 can also apply. Selection involves shortlisting based on JEE Main ranks, followed by Service Selection Board interviews. Selected cadets will complete a four-year engineering degree at the Naval Academy. Applicants must have been born between 2 July 2007 and 1 January 2010.
