RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat attended a program of Vidarbha Sanskar Bharati in Nagpur. Bhagwat’s visit coincided with the completion of 100 years of the RSS. In his address at the Hedgewar Smriti Bhavan, Bhagwat stated that art in our culture is not merely for entertainment. He emphasized the vision of ‘Satyam Shivam Sundaram,’ which encapsulates Hindu philosophy of art, where truth, divinity, and beauty are intertwined. He added that our perspective on art should also reflect ‘Satyam Shivam Sundaram,’ as it fosters good character.
He further elaborated on the significance of culture, noting that it is sustained by values and that the purpose of art is to cultivate these values. At the Hedgewar Smriti Bhavan, Vidarbha Sanskar Bharati organized a display of portraits, rangoli, and a booklet to honor 101 selected deceased RSS campaigners and workers.
